You know the saying: A picture is worth a thousand words. At Heartland Builders we create that picture together. You will sit with our architectural designer and experience the design process in 3D as we move walls, lay out the space for your kitchen (and all rooms), adjust the exterior colors and the roof line, and more. Because this is your home, what it will look like is up to you.

This means:

You get to make real-time adjustments to your home.
You approve your floorplan in 3D and change it as the design is being created.
When you walk out of this meeting, you’ll know what your house is going to look like.

We incorporate both architectural and interior design in a way that is easy, fun, and fast (er than you think), and we offer the same quality experience to everyone. The price of your home doesn’t determine the service we provide, and it won’t impact the quality of its construction either. That’s another promise!

HOW DOES THE DESIGN PROCESS WORK?

FLOOR PLANS

We always try to start with one of our floor plans, because we already have a base price for each plan. We also have pre-priced many of the features that our clients are going to want in their home. This allows us to provide a fast, efficient price all the while knowing that we are a custom builder and our clients can modify our plans to their liking, inside and out. Once you have reviewed the design and the price, we sign a design services agreement.

START FROM SCRATCH

You’re welcome to bring your own sketch and pictures, and we will create a custom home from them. We will make sure the plan we come up with together fits your site and your dream. Our goal is always to know your budget so we can keep your design in line with it.

BRING US A PLAN

We will use our pre-priced plans to get an estimate of your home’s price for you. If you decide we are the right builder for you, we will use our software to redraw your plan so that you can view it in 3D inside and out. We will also prepare an electrical plan for you to approve.

Please note: We do not redraw plans from licensed architects, but we will from architectural designers with their approval.
