Think of it as your one-stop homebuilding HQ in Holland. Our Lakeshore Design Studio gives you hands-on access to finishes, samples, and inspiration—plus the ability to visualize your home before your first build meeting.

Where is the Lakeshore Design Studio located?

We’re currently operating out of a temporary office at 208 E. 40th Street, Holland, MI 49423. Our grand opening is coming in December 2025. Want to see it before then? Book your visit!

Do I need an appointment to visit?

Yes, appointments are best for giving you our full attention and creating that easy, fun, faster experience. You can book your visit quickly online or give us a call—whatever’s easiest for you.

What areas does this studio serve?

We build custom homes throughout West Michigan, including the lakeshore and surrounding inland areas within about a 75-mile radius of Grand Rapids. You can choose to visit either our Grand Rapids or Holland studio depending on what’s most convenient for you.

Why should I visit the studio instead of browsing materials online?

Everything, including door knobs, tile, lighting, and flooring, is right here without the endless driving to multiple showrooms to look at samples. Walk through our house-like displays and inspire yourself with real-life examples of how we build. It makes designing your home feel effortless, exciting, and real, even before the first beam goes up.

You don’t need to travel for miles looking high and low for door knobs and tile while going through the Selections part of our building process because our design studio is a one-stop shop for every detail that makes a new house a beautiful and special home. Be inspired walking through our “homes,” which feature in detail what we are able to do and how we build. You will want your very own Heartland Builders home!

Heartland builds within a 75-mile radius of our main office. There is some geographic overlap between our Grand Rapids Design Studio and the Lakeshore Inspiration Studio in Holland, so if you live in between them, you can choose which one to go to. Below is a map that shows the areas we serve. If you are thinking about building just outside our service area, call us – in case we are available to serve you.
