Sneak Peek: Parade of Homes Fall 2017 Preview

Modern elegance with a twist of classic charm, and packed with personalized customization:  welcome to our Fall 2017 Parade of Homes entry, Ella Terrace Ct.

We look forward to welcoming you to this stunning 2-story family home.  We’ve loved helping our clients design this space and we’re looking forward to sharing it with YOU starting TOMORROW!  The annual HBA Fall Parade of Homes opens tomorrow; get all the details here.

One of our favorite design features of this home is the kitchen range hood.  This might come as a surprise to you since it might not seem that a kitchen range hood is all that exciting.

Well it is in this house!

Our homeowners look forward to entertaining family and friends and the kitchen and great room areas are designed to both comfortably accommodate groups of people and also easily facilitate serving and hosting their guests.  Tall ceilings open up the space and help make it feel comfortably spacious.

To balance these tall ceilings and the large center island, we designed the upper cabinets to extend all the way to the ceiling by stacking sets of cabinets.  We also arranged the layout to best facilitate hosting and serving groups of people, ensuring easy guest access to the beverage refrigerator at the edge of the kitchen area.

Which brings us to the range hood.

In every house, there are areas that we find ourselves focusing on because they present opportunities to do something special or unique.  The range hood was one of those areas in this house that we knew would need a specific and unique design in order to complete this space as well as accent and complement the high-end range from Bekins Appliance.

That’s where the fun began!

Lisa, our interior designer, designed this using varying custom trim pieces, stacking them and arranging them into this stunning and unique range hood.

She worked closely with the kitchen carpenter to select just the right pieces and hand-laid them into original design.  This, folks, is the only place in the Parade of Homes that you’re going to see a range hood like this!

There are many other personalized and unique details in this stunning home, and we’ll be sharing some of those with you on this blog in the next few weeks.

You can see this beautiful range hood, and the rest of the this gorgeous home, at 8057 Ella Terrace Ct. Rockford MI 49341.
